If well-understood, education is one of the most noble tasks which a human being can be called to. As an educator, it is my duty to manage all the elements of the learning process such as to ensure my students' greatest possible growth as empowered thinkers and responsible doers.
I must be single-minded, relentless, ruthless with myself in the pursuit of my ultimate objective: student learning. I must never allow the meagerness of my resources to retard my constant striving in my craft as manager of the learning process, not to slack down my continuous seeking of excellence – at all levels, intellectual, moral, personal – from my students. The greatest test of and the crown to my success should be the fact that by the time my students graduate, they no longer need me.(1)
