THE PROCEDURE FOR ORDERING BOOKS FROM THE CENTRAL LIBRARY

  1. Collect all catalogs of new books from different publishers and sort them out according to related subjects. Deliver the catalogs to the Dean of each faculty for review and selection within the prescribed time limit. Late requisitions should be avoided and if possible the order should be postponed to the next semester. For books required that are not listed in the catalogs, the faculty will please notify the library with written details of the books.
  2. On receiving the catalogs returned from each faculty, the library will check about the availability of those books on the shelves first before placing orders. Prices and currentness must be considered as well.
  3. Print out book lists and categorize them according to subjects, and then make a request to the President for approval.
  4. After complying with provisions in items 1, 2, & 3 above, the library will process to purchase from bookstores and publishers. Each faculty will then be notified upon arrival of the books to let teachers know that the books are now available in the library.
