Newspaper Collection
1. Where is the Newspaper Collection?
St. Gabriel's Library (Huamark Campus): You can find the current issues of the daily newspapers in the corner beside the circulation counter on the 1st floor. You may sit on the sofas provided and read them, but they cannot be taken anywhere. The back issues of the newspapers are kept on the 2nd floor. Please contact the staff if you wish to read them.
Cathedral of Learning Library (Bangna Campus) : The Newspaper collection is in a special room on the 2nd floor.You can find both the current issues as well as the back issues in this room. Please ask the staff for directions if you do not know where it is.
2. In what languages are the newspapers?
There are newspapers in English, Thai, French, Chinese and Japanese in the Newspaper Collection.
3. Can a newspaper be checked out?
Newspapers may not be taken out of the library. However, if you wish to make a photocopy of some materials, you can ask a staff member to accompany you to make a copy at the photocopying service in the library.
4. How long does the library keep the back issues of the newspapers?
St. Gabriel's Library : the back issues of the newspapers are kept for 3 months. The Cathedral of Learning library : The back issues of the newspapers are kept for 6 months.
5. Can I take a newspaper to another part of the library?
Newspapers are to be read only in the designated area in both the libraries. You can always ask the staff in the room to make a photocopy of the material you want.
