1.Who may check out (borrow) library materials?

All Assumption University students, staff and faculty can borrow materials using their library card.

2.How do I check out (borrow) library materials?

Locate the materials you want and take them to the Circulation Counter in the library. Present them along with your library card.

3.What are the library loan policy?

The maximum number of books that can be borrowed : -
10 volumes for Faculty
8 volumes for Staff
7 volumes for Graduate Student
6 volumes for Undergraduate Student

4. What happens if I don't return a book on time? Will I be charged?

Usually books circulate according to the loan regulations. If you need to keep a book for a few more days or weeks, you must bring it to the library and tell us, so that we can renew the book and change the due date on the computer. We cannot renew a book for you by phone.

If you do not do this, we will send you an Overdue Notice, followed by a notification that a "hold" has been placed on your academic records. A "hold" means that you will not be able to register for the following semester until the matter is cleared up.
